About Us
Financial Foundations is a firm that is held to the fiduciary standard. But what does that mean for you? In simple terms, advisors with fiduciary responsibility are legally bound to put your needs first. It’s important to note the differences between advisors held to the fiduciary standard and those held to the suitability standard:
Advisors who operate under the fiduciary standard are armed with knowledge to provide sophisticated wealth management services and advice. They are working as Investment Advisor Representatives under a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm and that firm is PortSide Wealth. They are registered with the SEC or the state security division. They have completed the necessary steps, including many hours of training and financial education courses, to become Investment Advisor Representatives (IAR) that are held to the fiduciary standard.
Our History
We have always encouraged our clients to save their retirement dollars in investments that grow in the most Tax Efficient way possible. We educated them that it’s better to pay taxes on the Seed rather than on the Harvest. Our favorite investment is the ROTH IRA. Because if tax rates double and our client is in the 0% tax bracket, then 2X0 is still 0.
